Western Isles Tour Guides Association

The Western Isles Tour Guides Association (WITGA) is a membership organisation of independent tour guides based in the Western Isles of Scotland, also known as the Outer Hebrides.

Founded in 1997, WITGA offers step-on guides for group tours, as well driver guides for smaller, private parties. We can provide tours in a range of European languages and in Scottish Gaelic. All our guides are trained within WITGA to the highest standards and can enhance your exploration of the landscape, history and culture of the Outer Hebrides.

ABOUT

Rich archaeological heritage

The Outer Hebrides offer a richness of archaeological sites to visit. Most famous are the 5,000-year-old Neolithic standing stones of Calanais, Isle of Lewis, but these stand at the centre of a sacred landscape dotted with other lesser-known circles, monoliths and stone settings.
