Western Isles Tour Guide Association have been planning new tours as part of the group’s Sustainable Tourism Policy.

The Harris Tweed Tours include a visit to a Harris Tweed weaver’s like Iain Màrtainn, self-employed and continuing the family tradition of combining weaving and running a working croft. There are several Harris Tweed weavers who welcome visitors to their loom shed to share the wool weaving process.

There is also an opportunity for Harris Tweed 1 .5hour workshop with a local crafts person making an item from Harris Tweed.
