As an STGA Green Badge Tour Guide, I love to show you the beautiful landscapes, ancient historical sites, and the culture of the Hebrides. The ancient rocks, the fresh air, the sea breeze, the fast sky, the peaty moors, the lochs, the calmness – it will amaze and inspire you.
Originally from the Netherlands, I have been welcomed into the Lewis community since 1998. Local people have taught me about the traditions and culture. I would like to extend that welcome to you and design a tour according to your preferences.
You can book me for walking, personal driving (from 2025 onward) or coach tours from a half day to a long weekend.
Position: Tour guide, walk and cycle leader, Shore Watch volunteer (whale and dolphin monitoring).
Languages: English, Dutch (native), German, school French, Gaelic Level 3, Smatterings of Spanish, and Italian
Tours offered: Westside Lewis, Point peninsula, Isle of Harris, Uig and Bernera, Castle Gardens, Stornoway walk, various countryside walks along easy pathways or more challenging hill walking.
