Mathilde, originally from France, settled on the Isle of Lewis in 2019 and has been a tour guide here since 2022. As well as being a guide, she is a creative artist and designer, and also works at An Lanntair Arts Centre and the Museum nan Eilean. Along with her husband, she has recently embarked on developing her family croft to grow her own produce.
