Barbara, a retired French teacher and fluent Gaelic speaker with Lewis roots, has lived on Harris for over 40 years. She enjoys sharing information about island culture and traditions, wildlife, music and people, as well as doing tours for the Isle of Harris Distillery. She is involved in several community groups. She is a keen traveller, hiker and wild swimmer, and an active crofter.
