Alison, a former teacher and environmental educator, has lived and worked since 2017 on her croft in Lewis, where she has planted a native tree woodland, grows her own produce and keeps rare breed Soay sheep for conservation grazing. She is passionate about the Hebridean landscapes and seascapes, the wildlife and wildflowers, and is a keen hiker, sea swimmer and coastal rower.
